She's Got Personality

Kennedi's personality is starting to emerge more and more. She doesn't exactly use words to communicate- but her face tells all. In nursery-- she scowls . . . at strangers-- she scowls. She can be hilarious too! At Grandpa and Grandma Richins 80th Birthday Party-- she went and pushed all of her cousins while they were trying to sing a song. She is so funny.

Valentines/Stitches

While making Valentine cards this year- we had a little mishap. Charli lost her balance and fell in front of me while I was using the rotary cutter to cut the paper. We had to take her to the health clinic to get 9 stitches. She only cried for a couple minutes right when it happened. She didn't cry at all while getting shots or stitches. And to make me feel better...she assured me, "It's okay mom. I forgive you. I still love you."

Snowman

Charli was SO excited to build a snowman. Everytime Kennedi sees it out the window. . . she points and laughs. But I. . . just wish the dang thing would melt completely away!

Polar Plunge

Johnny jumped in for the Bear Lake Polar Plunge again! Too bad that I'm always pregnant or holding the kids. It's okay though...kids come first, you know. And someone's gotta take pictures.

Playing Together

It's so nice that the girls can play together. It's fun to see their imaginations at work. They love to play and pretend and put on shows. Kennedi just kind of goes with whatever her sister does.

Halloween

Every year, we go to the KOA for a trunk or treat type thing. It's always fun... quick way to trick or treat. . . which is nice because it's freezing cold. Charli and Kennedi also got to go to story time and trick or treating at Uncle Tommy's work. They love dressin up.

Playing in the Garden

Kennedi loves being outside. It was so nice back in those early fall days when I could let her play outside in her swimsuit. Now-- she tries to sneak outside at any chance she can-- usually diaper/bare foot. . . she doesn't seem to mind... but I do.

Rudy

Johnny's still not a fan of the kitty-- so he wanted a dog. We picked up Rudolph (Rudy) on Christmas Eve. He was supposed to be a surprise for Christmas morning. . . but we couldn't hide the yappy thing from Charli. She came outside and found him and he came running in under her legs. She said "What the HECK is that?!!!" She thought it was a skunk. He's a border collie/german shepherd/husky mix or in other words a result of the neighborhood slut dog making its rounds or you could also say free! He's been a great dog. Johnny ran over him with his work truck-- he limped for a couple of days, but he is okay now.

A Tale of Two Kitties

Our frogs Toado and Ribbit lasted 5/7 days. They now rest peacefully in the backyard. We decided to move on to a useful pet that could help take care of other pets we didn't want-- mice. I've never been a fan of cats-- but I thought it would grow on me if we started from a kitty. So, we took a stray kitty off the hands of my brother. We named her Delilah. We had her just long enough to get attached to her. Charli threw her off the deck on to the driveway on day 2. But, she survived. However, she decided to hide in the engine of the car after about a month. Johnny drove away . . . and when he came back . . . the cat was lying in the tire tracks. It was a very sad day for Johnny because I wouldn't talk to him for the whole day and I spent the entire day crying. He felt so guilty- that he went out and got another cat the next day. We named kitty #2 Dora-- (it was that or banana pants?) She was almost her twin. Dora was thrown off the deck by one of Charli's friends, but she survived. Dora went riding on the rooftop of the car, but luckily I saw it just in time and was able to call Johnny and tell him to take the cat off the car. We still have her... and she is doing an excellent job of catching mice. We have not had any in the house so far! Yea!

Tony's Grove

We took the girls up to Tony's Grove in August and hiked around the lake.

Charli's Dance Recital

Charli took a dance class last summer and performed at Raspberry Days. I am hoping to get her back into dance again this summer. She was the youngest girl in the class-- but so dang cute!

Kennedi's First Birthday

This is Kennedi's 1st Bday--- 9 months later! We had a pink cool-whip/fruit covered "pan-cake" for breakfast. We met up with the Hunt clan at Willow park for a pizza picnic. I made this awesome home-made butterfly cake. . . and waited to take pictures until we got to the park-- yeah, it melted in the cooler and was a mess. Ice-cream cones anyone? Kennedi probably liked those better anyway.

July 4th

It's hard to believe that one year from these pictures-- we'll have another baby!! Crazy! I'm hoping that we'll be able to make it to our annual get-together with my family for the 4th-- but seeing how I'm due on July 11th. . . and it would be a 3 1/2 hour drive out to Grantsville by myself with 2 . . . almost 3 kids.... I don't know....

Return to Blogging

I'm at my parents and I am actually awake before the girls--and I have internet access-- perfect time for blogging. I have to go waaaay back-- but we'll see if I can get caught up today. Commentary will be short and sweet-- but that's okay, right?

OH-- how I miss these times! I am SO sick of winter! You people that complain about "winter"-- don't even try it with me! We still have 3 feet of snow at our house. My girls are so deprived and shut in our "winter cave" that when we drive to Bountiful-- they shout-- "Mailbox! Mailbox! They have a mailbox right in front of their house!" Kennedi, of course, shouts "M-bo! M-bo!" (But we get it)
